Neko Case (Nikou Case, born September 8, 1970 in Alexandria, Virginia) is an American singer, known both for her solo work and as a member of The New Pornographers. For a while, she performed and recorded under the pseudonym Neko Case & Her Boyfriends.

Neco Case is one of the most famous alto-country singers. On the one hand, her songs are simple and devoid of all sorts of piling up - the main instrument in a variety of songs is the acoustic guitar. On the other hand, the unbanality of the musical moves, the interlacing of strings, banjo and keyboards, and the really beautiful academic vocals make it clear why critics love it so much. Not an ordinary singer-songwriter, in general.
